Bend vs STRETCHIT is a two-app choice for people who want a stretching habit, not a CrossFit test. Bend is an illustration-and-timer library with a tiny free sample. STRETCHIT is a video class app aimed at splits and backbends. This is a source-reviewed guide, not a hands-on lab test. Store figures were captured on 13 September 2026.

Decision rule in one paragraph
Pick Bend if you want a cheap-looking annual promo, illustrated holds you can do beside a desk, and a custom builder. Pick STRETCHIT if you will pay class prices for a person on camera and you care about front, middle, or standing splits. If you only need a five-minute sample, start on Bend’s free flow. If you already know you want a 30-day splits block, trial STRETCHIT and cancel on day six if the class lengths do not fit your morning.
Price is not one number for Bend
Bend vs STRETCHIT price is not one cell. Bend’s Apple US sheet on 13 September 2026 showed three monthly IAPs and a stack of “50% off” and “70% off” years. That is why this page refuses a single “Bend costs X.” A user who sees $4.99 a month and $19.99 a year lives in a different shop from a user who sees $13.99 and $39.99. UK Apple showed £4.49 or £9.99 a month and annual promos from £19.99 to £29.99. A Play review from August 2026 called an $80 year “insane.” That figure was not on the Apple IAP list we fetched. Check live.
STRETCHIT’s Apple list was simpler and higher: $24.99 or £24.99 a month, $179.99 or £179.99 a year. Extra $4.99 / £4.99 class SKUs also appeared. Fitness Drum’s 2026 review quoted $19.99 a month or $159.99 a year, closer to some Google-facing copy. We did not see a clean Play IAP table. Treat Apple and web as separate tills.
A 12-month STRETCHIT year at $179.99 already exceeds three years of Bend at a $19.99 promo, if that promo is real for you. That is the commercial fork. It is not a quality score.
Format: drawings versus classes
Bend vs STRETCHIT features split on format. Bend’s listing describes illustrated stretches with a timer, written cues, and caution notes. Named flows include Wake Up, Posture Reset, Full Body, Sleep, Expert, Hips, Hamstrings, Lower Back, and Isometric. You can build a custom set. Streaks and a “Bendometer” track consistency. Apple Health sync is listed. That is a self-guided product. It fits a fifteen-minute home workout slot or a desk break.
STRETCHIT’s listing describes 5- to 45-minute video classes, weekly releases, personalised recommendations, programmes, and a competition leaderboard. Languages include English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, and French. Founders Natasha and Marina appear in Fitness Drum’s 2026 review. The pitch is progress toward splits, not a five-minute wake-up.
UK STRETCHIT reviews praise cues and also flag wild jumps in class length. One 2024 user quit over 6-minute versus 40-minute mornings. The developer pointed to a custom-programme builder. Bend users more often ask for more moves, not shorter videos.
Ratings and what they do not mean
Bend vs STRETCHIT ratings must stay in separate store cells. Both Apple US pages showed 4.8 on 13 September 2026. Bend’s sample (173K) dwarfs STRETCHIT’s (15K). Play is the sharper split. Bend sat at 4.7 from 165K reviews with a 5M+ install band on the developer page. STRETCHIT sat at 4.0 from 2.06K reviews with a 100K+ band. That is adoption, not proof of safer stretching.
The Bend listing quotes The New York Times and Wirecutter. We did not re-open those articles for this page, so we do not invent their scores. Fitness Drum’s STRETCHIT review was positive and quoted older store averages. Use the dated figures in the table, not a blended “Living Outlook” mark.

Privacy, side by side
Bend’s Play Data Safety form said the app may share personal info, app activity, and other types. It may collect personal info and financial info. Data is encrypted in transit. You can request deletion. The company privacy page says Apple and Google handle card data for store purchases.
STRETCHIT’s Apple label listed contact info used to track you across other companies’ apps and sites, plus contact info linked to you. Play said the app may share personal info and activity, and may collect personal info, photos and videos, and performance data. If you will film progress, read that photos line first.
Evidence both apps still lack
Bend’s store copy lists pain relief, sleep, posture, and injury-risk claims. STRETCHIT’s copy lists splits, back pain, and “all agree: if you want to get more flexible, STRETCHIT works.” Those are ads. We found no trial of either brand. NHS flexibility pages still give no required weekly stretch dose. A 2012 PMC review of stretching methods supports range gains from regular static holds after a warm-up. It does not mention these apps.
If you already lift at home, keep stretching as a side dish. Our no-equipment full-body home workout and quiet apartment workout cover strength without a second subscription. For the wider shelf see best stretching apps.
Who should look at a third app anyway
This page will not sneak in a third winner. If you want a sport test, leave this pair and read GOWOD. If you want voice-led yin holds, read Pliability. Those are different jobs. Bend vs STRETCHIT stays illustration-timer versus splits class. A Bend vs STRETCHIT subscription should be one of those two, not both, unless you will use both formats every week.
