Best Weight-Management Apps and Digital Programs: Coaching, Tracking and GLP-1 Support
People search for the best weight loss apps when they want a coach in their pocket, a points system, or a fasting clock. This is a source-reviewed guide, not a hands-on lab test. No app here is a medicine, and none is a cure.
Who the best weight loss apps are for
This hub is for adults comparing the best weight loss apps as digital programmes, not as medicines. It is not a prescription. If you take a GLP-1 medicine, the clinician who prescribed it still owns dose changes.
Pick a coaching curriculum if you want daily lessons. Pick Points or Food Optimising if you want a food system you already know. Pick a fasting timer if your only job is an eating window. Waist and BMI are blunt screens, not diagnoses; see our BMI and waist guide.
We compared manufacturer pages, store listings, privacy forms, and named trials. We did not run the programmes.
How we compared the best weight loss apps
Each row is one job. UK and US prices stay apart. Ratings stay in their store. If a checkout showed several SKUs, we list the range.
We omit install counts we could not verify. Manufacturer “millions of users” lines stay labelled as claims.

Med plans do not include the medicine. |
| Slimming World | Groups: £6.95 / week plus £5 joining fee from 29 March 2026. Online: £60, £65 or £80 for the first 3 months, then £20 / month. | UK and Ireland service. No US retail price on the pages we opened. | Members-only iOS/Android app after you join; weekly groups or online events | Check the live store after membership. The app is not a standalone free tracker. | Manufacturer says the app is “top-rated” for members. That is marketing. | Group or Online membership required. App is included, not sold as a cheap IAP. | UK company. Confirm the live privacy policy before you join. | No independent 2026 app-only RCT was found for this page. | Public pages emphasise groups. Digital members get live events instead of a hall. | UK adults who want Food Optimising plus a weekly group | Not a US product. The app does not replace a membership fee. |

US App Store also listed an $89.99 Plus SKU (13 Sep 2026). 12-month cost $69.99 yearly or $119.88 monthly on the official pair. | iOS, Android | US App Store 4.8 from 445,000 ratings, 16+ (13 Sep 2026). US Play public listing 3.8 from about 61,200 reviews (captured 13 Sep 2026). | No verified install band on the pages we opened. | Free timer; Plus for extra content and stats. Auto-renews. | Confirm the live Apple label and zerolongevity.com privacy policy. | No large independent fasting-outcome trial of this product was found for this page. | Apple score is high. Play score is lower. Keep those cells apart. | Adults who want an eating-window clock, not a full diet club | A timer is not a meal plan. Long fasts need clinical advice. |
| Fastic | Check live UK store. | US App Store Plus SKUs on 13 Sep 2026 included $12.99, $14.99, $27.99, $29.99, $39.99 and $79.99. Treat the checkout as current. | iOS (iPhone-only on the US App Store page we opened) | US App Store 4.8 from 246,000 ratings, 13+ (13 Sep 2026). Developer listed as HealthVida GmbH & Co. KG. US Play public listing 4.4 from about 421,000 reviews (captured 13 Sep 2026). | No verified install band. | Free timer; Plus for recipes, academy, and community extras. | Confirm fastic.com/privacy-policy on the live page. | Store copy cites a fasting study (NCT01082779). Not a GLP-1 clinic. |
Noom if you want daily lessons
Noom is a psychology-lesson programme with a food log, step tracking, and optional coaching. The US App Store page on 13 September 2026 also sold body scans, Circles, Noom Move classes, and GLP-1 paths for people who qualify.
Official Noom Weight prices run $70 for one month down to $209 for a year. That year is $17.42 a month if you divide 209 by 12. Twelve monthly bills at $70 would be $840. Plans auto-renew unless you cancel.
US App Store: 4.7 from 872,000 ratings, age 18+. US Play: 4.1 from 314,000 reviews, updated 9 September 2026. Play Data Safety said some data may be shared with third parties. In 2022 a US federal court approved a $56 million cash settlement over trial and auto-renew claims. Noom denied wrongdoing. Read today’s cancel screen before you start a trial.
WeightWatchers if you want Points and workshops
WeightWatchers still uses Points and ZeroPoint foods. The 2026 app also advertises macro tracking, an AI body scanner, sleep and activity sync, and a GLP-1 Success programme.
US Core at $12 a month for 12 months is $144 a year. US App Store month-to-month IAPs included $23.99. UK Core at £5 a month for 12 months is £60 a year if that rate holds. The GB store also showed a £129.99 12-month online SKU. Those are different checkouts. Pick one and stay on it.
Palacios et al. (AJCN 2025; NCT05648344) randomised 376 US adults (BMI 27–45) to six months of digital WeightWatchers or monthly MyPlate emails. Diet quality (HEI-2020) rose 5.3 vs 1.1 points. Weight change was −5.4% vs −1.5%. WW International funded the trial. That is useful evidence. It is not a guarantee for your next quarter.
Slimming World if you want a UK group plan
Slimming World is a UK membership with Food Optimising, not a cheap standalone tracker. From 29 March 2026, weekly groups are £6.95 plus a £5 joining fee (recommended retail, participating groups). Online Bronze is £60 for three months, then £20 a month. Silver and Gold add books or a magazine.
The members-only app includes a barcode scanner, a planner, and recipes. You join first, then download. There is no useful US price on the pages we opened.
Zero if you want a fasting timer
Zero is an intermittent-fasting clock with optional food and protein tools. Official US Plus prices are $9.99 a month or $69.99 a year. The US App Store also listed $89.99. Apple’s help page says old promotional SKUs stay visible.
US App Store: 4.8 from 445,000 ratings. Play sat near 3.8 from about 61,200 reviews on the public listing we captured. A fasting app does not make a long fast safe. People with diabetes, who are pregnant, or who have a history of disordered eating should speak with a clinician first.
Fastic if you want a fasting community
Fastic pairs a timer with recipes, challenges, and a Plus community. The US App Store page we opened was iPhone-only, rated 4.8 from 246,000 ratings, age 13+. Plus SKUs were scattered. Check the price before you tap.
Store copy mentions a fasting trial registry number. That is not the same as an independent 2026 test of this build. Treat Fastic as a clock and a content library, not as a clinic.
GLP-1 support is not one of the best weight loss apps
Noom Med and WeightWatchers Med+ sell clinical access if you qualify. Manufacturer pages are plain that medicine is extra and that compounded products are not FDA-reviewed for safety, efficacy, or quality. Ozempic is not FDA-approved for weight loss, per Noom’s own store footnote.
A companion tracker can log a dose. It cannot replace the prescriber. If you stop a GLP-1 medicine, regain is common in published trials. Plan that conversation with the clinician, not with a colour-coded food list.
Privacy and billing on the best weight loss apps
Health logs are sensitive. Read the live Play Data Safety form and the Apple privacy label in your store. Noom’s Play form listed third-party sharing. WeightWatchers’ Play form said no third-party sharing. Those are developer declarations.
None of the best weight loss apps on this page is a free-for-life clinic. Auto-renew is the rule on every row. Cancel at least 24 hours before the term ends if you use Apple or Google billing. Prepaid annual plans are cheaper per month and harder to abandon early.
