Fastic Review Is the Intermittent Fasting App Worth It?

This Fastic review reads public store listings, Fastic’s own copy and the fasting evidence those listings lean on. This is a source-reviewed guide, not a hands-on lab test.

Use this page if you want one app for a fasting clock and a food log. You want dated prices. You do not want a claim that an in-app “body status” meter can see ketosis.

Fastic suits people who like visual timers and who will snap meals. Store copy lists a fasting timer, calorie and macro logging, a food-photo scanner, a restaurant-menu scanner, a Fastic Score, an AI chat called Fasty, a step counter and a water tracker. Plus, per the same listings, adds a recipe book, an academy, challenges, buddies and extra insights.

Skip Fastic if you want a quiet timer with no scanner layer. Zero is closer to that job. Skip it if you want a UK group plan. That is Slimming World. Skip it if food photos or upgrade screens will stress you. Several Play reviews describe persistent Plus prompts.

Fastic review: dated features and platforms

HealthVida GmbH & Co. KG is the iOS seller. Fastic GmbH of Berlin is the Play developer. The US App Store on 13 September 2026 listed version 1.270.2, dated 5 September 2026. Google Play said the Android build was updated on 4 September 2026.

Listed platforms are iPhone and Android. The iOS listing requires iOS 15.6 or later and says “Only for iPhone”. There is no Apple Watch companion on the pages we opened.

Store copy also sells “Body Status” as a live view of fasting stages, including ketosis and fat burning. That is a product graphic. We found no independent test that a phone can detect ketosis from a start time you typed. Treat it as motivation art, not a blood ketone reading.

Fastic’s listings cite “a recent clinical study (PMC10107279)”. That paper (Arciero and colleagues, Obesity 2023) compared intermittent fasting plus protein pacing with calorie restriction for eight weeks in 41 adults. It was not a Fastic software trial. The protocol used long weekly fasts and a set protein target, not an AI scanner.

Play reviews we opened liked the timer and the stage graphics. A 2024 review said the free timer was “ok” but ads and upgrade prompts were heavy. A July 2026 paid user said pop-ups still got in the way of logging. That is one person’s note.

Fastic price and 12-month cost

The download is free. A usable free tier exists, per store copy: timer, basic tracker, scanners, Fasty, steps and water. Plus is the paid layer.

The US App Store on 13 September 2026 listed these labelled SKUs: Fastic Plus 1 month $14.99 and Fastic Plus 3 months $27.99. Other Plus SKUs on the same list included $12.99, $19.99, $29.99, $39.99 and $79.99 without a duration on every line. The app description says Plus terms of 1, 3 and 12 months exist. We did not complete checkout, so we cannot swear the $79.99 SKU is the 12-month plan for every Apple ID. If it is, twelve months at $79.99 is cheaper than twelve months at $14.99 ($179.88).

The UK App Store listing, captured from a public snapshot on 13 September 2026, showed Plus SKUs at £12.99, a labelled £14.99 one-month plan, three-month prices of £25.49 and £26.49, and other SKUs at £29.99, £34.99 and £69.99. Twelve months at £14.99 would be £179.88. We do not assign the £69.99 SKU a term without a label on the line we saw.

Google Play did not print a public Plus price on the page we retrieved. Android prices appear at checkout. Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, per both stores.

Third-party blogs describe a 14-day “Feel Good Guarantee”. That is not on the App Store legal block we copied. If a refund path matters, read Fastic’s own terms at fastic.com/terms before you pay. Do not rely on a blog.

Store ratings are not one number

Keep Apple and Google apart in any Fastic review. On 13 September 2026 the US App Store showed 4.8 stars from 246,000 ratings, age rating 13+. Google Play showed 4.4 stars from about 421,000 reviews, with 419,000 also shown on the same page. Play’s content rating was Teen.

The Play page we retrieved did not show a public install band. “Millions already trust Fastic” on the listing is marketing. It is not an install band.

Apple’s 13+ label notes advertising and health topics. Play Data Safety and Apple’s tracking label are the privacy story, not the star rating.

Privacy and Data Safety

Apple’s privacy label on the US listing, captured 13 September 2026, says data used to track you may include purchases, location, contact info, identifiers and usage data. Data linked to you may include email and name for the developer’s advertising or marketing. Apple notes the label is developer-provided.

Google Play Data Safety the same day said the app may share device or other IDs with third parties. It may collect location, personal info and six other types. Data is encrypted in transit. You can request deletion. The policy URL on the store is fastic.com/privacy-policy.

If you add “buddies” or post in challenges, other users can see what you share. That is a social choice.

What independent sources measured

We found no study that enrols Fastic users and checks the scanner against a weighed meal. The paper Fastic cites (PMC10107279) used a clinic diet protocol. Sample size was 41. Follow-up was eight weeks. That cannot validate an in-app ketosis graphic.

The 2025 BMJ fasting review and NICE NG246 still apply. Fasting as a pattern looks similar to ordinary calorie cuts for most people. NICE did not recommend intermittent fasting in 2025. Fastic’s store list of benefits (“slows ageing”, “prevents diabetes”) is marketing. We do not repeat those as facts.

What remains unverified

This Fastic review did not complete an in-app purchase. We cannot confirm which Plus SKU a new US or UK account sees first. We did not measure scanner error. We did not audit Fasty’s answers. If a figure is missing from the table, the public page did not show it.
