This Tempdrop review is for people who want overnight axillary temperature instead of a 6 a.m. oral thermometer. This is a source-reviewed guide, not a hands-on lab test. tempdrop.com, Apple, the UK partner shop and a 2025 Sensors paper were captured on 13 September 2026. We did not wear the armband.
Who this Tempdrop review is for

Download Tempdrop on the App Store
Stay if you will wear an armband every night and you already know how to read a coverline, or you will pay Premium to have the app mark ovulation. Stay if shift work or a baby makes a fixed wake-up thermometer hard.
Skip it if you need contraception. Skip it if the US listing’s “not suitable for irregular cycles” line describes you and you wanted an algorithm to fix that. Skip it if you only need a period reminder.
The wider shortlist sits at best fertility apps. A glass-thermometer chart is in our Fertility Friend review. Urine-hormone readers are in Mira Fertility review and Premom review. For an app sold as contraception, see Natural Cycles review.
Dated hardware and store facts
The Tempdrop 2.0 page we opened listed a coin-cell sensor, a fabric armband and extender, Bluetooth sync after waking and up to 60 hours of stored data. Standard bands fit 21.5–39 cm (8.5–15.5 in). An extra-long band fits 31.5–47 cm (12.5–18.5 in). Those are manufacturer sizes.
Free-app rows include daily temperatures, a trend chart, period and symptom logs, export, reminders and Apple or Google Health. Premium rows add chart interpretation, automated ovulation confirmation, a fertile-window mark, forecasts and extra sleep views. You can still export temps into another charting app.
Unopened unused returns sit inside 30 days and lose a $20 processing fee on the US page. An optional longer “satisfaction” upgrade exists; we did not copy its 2026 price. Return postage is on the buyer.

Tempdrop price and twelve-month cost
This Tempdrop review keeps US dollars and UK pounds apart. Duty on a grey-market import can erase a sale.
If you pay the US sale price and skip Premium, the first year is $149 plus a coin cell if you replace one. If you take the $48 yearly Premium after the two free months, add $48 when that year starts — we will not guess whether the trial burns part of an annual SKU. Twelve US monthly Premium bills are $72.
In the UK, £179 hardware plus £49 yearly Premium is £228 if you add the annual plan. Twelve £6 months are £72. We did not complete a checkout. HSA/FSA eligibility is a US shop claim, not a worldwide rule.
Privacy and Data Safety
Tempdrop’s privacy policy says the apps and site are run by Tempdrop Ltd. It says data may be processed in Israel, which the UK and EU treat as adequate, and hosted on US servers. UK users get a named UK representative. A company explainer says Tempdrop does not sell data and that you can request deletion.
Apple’s label listed location, contact, usage and diagnostics as data not linked to your identity. Play Data Safety said no data is shared with third parties and listed collection of personal info, health and fitness and two other types. Data is encrypted in transit. Deletion is offered. Developer forms are not audits.
Nightly temperature is health data. You can export and chart elsewhere. Deleting the icon is not the same as deleting the account.
If training pain is the issue you meant to solve, see exercise warning signs.
What published studies actually measured
A 2025 Sensors paper (open access via PMC12567647) evaluated Tempdrop against the Clearblue Connected Ovulation Test System. One hundred and twenty-five women contributed 194 cycles between April 2023 and June 2024. On 5,394 fertile-or-not days the authors reported sensitivity 96.8% (95% CI 95.6–97.7), specificity 99.1% (98.8–99.4) and accuracy 98.6% (98.2–98.9). Tempdrop’s homepage also cites 93.3% for confirming ovulation in that research line. The reference was another consumer urine system, not follicle-collapse ultrasound. The study does not report typical-use contraceptive effectiveness.
The US App Store use statement still says interpretations are not suitable for irregular cycles. That sentence sits next to shop copy that names PCOS and long cycles. Those two lines do not cancel each other. If your cycles are irregular, treat algorithm marks as extra caution, not extra proof.
NHS advice on trying to conceive still starts with age and when to see a GP. A temperature file can help that visit. It cannot finish it. A taught symptothermal method with an instructor is a different product from a $6 Premium toggle.
What remains unverified
This Tempdrop review did not time battery life or armband itch. We did not recapture Amazon stars. We did not sleep-test the 60-hour buffer.
We did not find an ultrasound series for Tempdrop 2.0. Clearblue agreement is not follicle collapse. Shop “100,000+ women” is marketing.
Firmware and Premium rules move. A 2025 paper does not vouch for every 2026 build.
Who should skip Tempdrop
Skip Premium if you can read your own chart. The free app is meant to stand alone for temps. Skip the hardware if you wake at the same time and already own a basal thermometer you trust.
Skip the whole product if you wanted contraception and bought a wearable by mistake. This Tempdrop review lands here: useful when you will wear the band and treat the curve as one sign among others. Poor fit when you needed a medical test or a birth-control method and bought an armband instead.
