This Reframe review asks whether a paid drink-less programme is useful as a habit tool. This is a source-reviewed guide, not a hands-on lab test. We used the UK App Store page, public US store listings, Google Play, Healthline’s 2023 write-up, and NHS alcohol pages, captured on 13 September 2026.
Reframe sells a 160-day education path, drink logging, a private community, and optional coaching add-ons. Glucobit Inc. is the seller. The app can sit beside a GP plan. It cannot replace alcohol treatment, detox, or emergency care.

This Reframe review is for adults who want a structured course and a community while they cut back or stop. It suits people who will do daily tasks. It also suits people who already know they may need a clinician if shakes, sweats, or morning drinks are part of the week.
Skip it if you wanted a free tracker only. Listings describe a 7-day trial, then a paid subscription. Skip it if you want moderation coaching that does not talk about quitting. That is closer to the Sunnyside review. Skip it if a breath timer was the whole job. That is the Breathwrk review or the Othership review.
Read best stress apps if drink-less is only one row in a wider stress stack. Walking still helps mood for many people. See exercise for mental wellbeing for ordinary minutes, not as a substitute for alcohol care.
Dated features and store facts
The UK listing on 13 September 2026 described a neuroscience-framed 160-day programme, progress tracking, a private community, meditations, games, and optional Thrive Coaching with a recovery coach, live calls, and extra video. Play repeated the 160-day path and a 7-day trial. Play also printed a 91% “see a difference in three months” sentence. That sentence is store copy.
Healthline’s April 2023 page, medically reviewed, described Reframe as a cut-back or quit tool built as a behaviour-change programme. It repeated the manufacturer 91% and 81% lines from the website. It did not present an independent RCT of the app.
Seller was Glucobit Inc., Alpharetta, Georgia on Play. UK size was 475.3 MB. Age 18+ on Apple, with alcohol references, chat, and user-generated content flagged. Play: Everyone.

Reframe price and 12-month cost
Reframe does not publish one clean public tariff. The store lists several Access, Silver, Premium, and generic yearly SKUs. Choosing Therapy’s 2025 page used $99.99 a year as a headline and named extra coaching from about $9.99 to $249.99 a month. Those extras are editorial captures. Confirm them on the paywall. We do not invent a 2026 coaching menu.
A 12-month US Access year at $79.99 stays $79.99. Twelve $13.99 months are $167.88. A $99.99 Premium year stays $99.99. Silver Annual at $119.99 stays $119.99. UK Access year £67.99 versus £143.88 on monthly Access. We omit tax. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal, the listing said.
Play and Apple both warn that prices shown in the app are USD and may differ by country. That matches the UK cells. Trustpilot threads we read included auto-renew surprises. Set a calendar reminder on day six of the trial.
What editors and users reported
Healthline’s 2023 review treated Reframe as a structured programme with community and education. It did not claim a hands-on lab. Choosing Therapy’s 2025 page said reviewers often liked tracking and support and often disliked unclear pricing and trial-to-charge friction. We treat both as named editorials, not as our test.
UK Apple reviews we could date praised forums, daily tasks, and cut-back streaks. Play reviews in 2026 included a user who paid a yearly fee the same day the app failed to load, then later said it worked again. Another said progress tiles appeared to follow time in the app, not drinks logged. A third left because the onboarding quiz had no “rarely regret drinking” option. Those are anecdotes.
Trustpilot’s Reframe page, on a public capture, sat near 3.6 from about 113 reviews. Keep that cell away from Apple and Play. Stars are not outcomes and not a diagnosis.
Privacy and Data Safety
The UK Apple label on 13 September 2026 said identifiers may be used to track you across other companies’ apps and sites. Device ID was listed for third-party advertising. Play Data Safety said no data is shared with third parties. It may collect personal info, photos and videos, and two other types. Data is encrypted in transit. You can request deletion.
Those two labels do not match perfectly. That can happen when Apple and Play forms differ. Read both. The privacy policy URL on the listing was theglucobit.com/privacy. We did not treat every clause as verified beyond the store forms.
A drink log is sensitive. If you share a phone, use a passcode. Community posts are still posts. Do not put a medical history in a public thread.
Evidence and what remains unverified
The 91% three-month line is on Play. Healthline repeated similar website percentages in 2023. Neither source named a journal, a control group, or an independent protocol we can quote for Reframe itself. We leave the figure in the manufacturer cell.
Other alcohol apps have trials. Drink Less, a different UK research app, has published factorial work. Those papers do not evaluate Reframe.
NHS pages still say adults who drink most weeks should not regularly exceed 14 units, spread over three or more days, with drink-free days if you want to cut down. There is no “safe” level in that wording. An app log can make units visible. It cannot promise recovery.
If food rises when drinks fall, use the stress-eating practical guide. Minutes of walking still sit in the UK and US physical activity guidelines. Neither page is a detox plan.
Who should skip Reframe
Skip the year if you will ignore daily tasks. Skip it if you need medically supervised withdrawal. Do not stop heavy daily drinking suddenly without advice. Shakes, sweating, confusion, or seizures need urgent care.
This Reframe review’s close: pay if a course and a forum will keep you logging. Do not pay because a store badge said “#1.” Do not treat a subscription as a cure.
