This FulGaz review is for riders who want 4K road film, not a game map. This is a source-reviewed guide, not a hands-on lab test. The app is still sold on its own after ROUVY bought it in January 2025. Prices, ratings, and policy notes below are public records with dates.
Who this FulGaz review is for
Pick FulGaz if you want a quiet film of a real climb and you already have a plan, a podcast, or neither. The homepage calls the product “less virtual, more reality.” Bike-course rehearsal used to include a large IRONMAN library. That library is moving. If a named 70.3 bike leg is your only reason, confirm it still sits in FulGaz before you pay.
Skip it if you want daily bunch races and in-game levelling. That is closer to Zwift. Skip it if you want AR avatars on the same film style plus a bigger events calendar. That is now ROUVY, the sister app under the same owner. Skip it if Play’s Android bug threads worry you and you only have an Android tablet.
Bizar Mobile Pty Ltd still appears as the Apple seller. Downloads cover iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows 10+, Android 11+, and Apple TV. A large screen helps. The film is the point.

What FulGaz is after the sale
FulGaz began in Australia in 2014, Cyclingnews noted when the sale closed. IRONMAN had owned it from 2021. On 21 January 2025 ROUVY announced the purchase and a multi-year IRONMAN digital partnership. Early plans pointed at a late-2025 sunset. Community noise changed that.
ROUVY’s follow-up said FulGaz would keep running as a standalone boutique app focused on curated 4K bike film. No major feature race was promised. Stability was. IRONMAN routes would leave FulGaz. A core of former staff was put back on the product, the same note said. Treat that as corporate history, not a quality score.
Training still exists. The site mentions built-in plans and links to TrainingPeaks, TriDot, and other platforms. Group rides and chat exist. They are not the centre of the pitch.
Dated specs, FulGaz price, and ratings
Two price sheets matter. FulGaz help still publishes the 4 December 2023 rise: USD $14.99 a month or $125.99 a year; GBP £11.99 or £98.99; also AUD, CAD, and euro rows. The public memberships page, when loaded in some regions, showed Australian dollars (A$21.99 monthly; about A$14.99 a month billed yearly). Apple’s US in-app list on one capture showed $15.99 / $129.99 / a $89.99 six-month option. Those are not the same cell. Use the Members checkout for your country.
The trial is the unusual bit. FulGaz says you can ride 14 days with no card. It says it will not auto-charge when the trial ends. You subscribe later on the website. Monthly plans can be paused. Annual plans include a free family account, per the memberships page. Cancel from the profile. The same FAQ warns that a cancel wipe can drop ride history and a “passport”. Pause if you only need a break.

| Regulatory status | Consumer fitness app. Apple’s US privacy box said “Data Not Collected”; the developer policy still discusses analytics. Read both. |
FulGaz subscription versus a second filmed app
Yearly help rates undercut twelve monthly hits if you ride most of the year. The free family seat on annual is the quiet saving for two people in one house. If you already pay ROUVY, ask whether you need both film libraries. Some popular FulGaz routes were copied across after the sale. We did not map the overlap.
Compare the year cost with TrainerRoad or Wahoo SYSTM only if you would drop structured planning. FulGaz is scenery. Those apps are calendars. Many athletes stack them. That doubles the bill. Our best cycling apps hub keeps that stack honest.
Privacy, in ordinary words
Apple’s US privacy nutrition label said the developer does not collect data from the app. The same page warns that practices can vary by feature. FulGaz’s own policy page still talks about analytics, crash data, and optional sharing to Strava and similar services. Those two statements can both be true if the label is narrow and the website is wide. Do not treat “Data Not Collected” as a legal opinion.
Play listings in 2026 research described personal and health data collection on Android. That is a different binary. Keep iOS and Android privacy boxes in separate sentences.
Group chat and events are optional. Turn chat off in settings if you want a silent film. Cancel can erase history, per the memberships FAQ. Export anything you care about before you cut the plan.
What published reviews actually covered
220 Triathlon (18 January 2026) treated ROUVY, not FulGaz, as the IRONMAN-course app after the sale. That matches the migration story. Cyclingnews (21 January 2025) said the top 20 FulGaz routes would appear on ROUVY with more to follow. Independent testers did not, in the pieces we read, publish frame-rate charts or a gradient error table.
Store sentiment splits by platform. Apple’s larger US sample sat in the mid-4s. Play sat near 2.7. Video apps are heavy. A weak tablet plus a weak stream will look like a “bad app”. Offline downloads are the publisher’s usual answer. We did not time those downloads.
What remains unverified
We did not ride FulGaz. Live route counts may have fallen when IRONMAN files moved. Help prices from 2023 may not match today’s Members page in your currency. Apple IAP and web rates differ. Play’s star count is small and old complaints may linger after a version 7 beta.
No editor score. Load progression is still your job. Our progressive overload guide applies if the pretty road never asks you for a harder interval.
