This Daily Yoga review is for people who want a freemium yoga library with chair, wall and pose clips — and who need to decode a messy paywall. Daily Yoga is made by a Hong Kong company and sold under PhoeniXcel Limited on Apple’s store. This is a source-reviewed guide, not a hands-on lab test.
Who this Daily Yoga review is for
Daily Yoga suits beginners who want short pose videos, chair yoga or wall Pilates and who will try the free layer first. Smart Coach, the listing says, builds a 28-day class list. That is a playlist, not a person.
Skip it if overlapping subscriptions already confuse you. A February 2025 Play review said the writer had paid for two yearly tiers at once. The developer replied that the team could explain the plans. That is a support burden you should budget for.
Skip it if you want a single named teacher archive. That job belongs to Glo or Pilates Anytime. Compare the wider set in best yoga and Pilates apps.

Features the stores describe
The US App Store listing on 13 September 2026 advertised classic yoga, chair yoga, wall Pilates, somatic workouts, meditation and Tai Chi. It claimed 500+ poses, 500+ guided classes and, in Play copy, 2,000+ sessions. We did not count them.
Smart Coach is sold as a 28-day schedule. You can download classes for offline use, the listing says. HealthKit can export calories and exercise minutes. Apple Watch support is listed. The UK listing still mentions an iOS 14 widget, which is leftover copy.
Play’s what’s-new note for September 2026 mentioned a Chair Yoga Plan and a Summer Serenity Challenge. Challenges and community posts are part of the product. They are also a reason the app wants identifiers.

Daily Yoga price and 12-month cost
If you keep US Gold Pro at $19.99 a month, 12 months is $239.88 before tax. The $52.99 Gold yearly SKU is much cheaper if that is the tier you need. Silver yearly at $42.99 is lower still. Do not buy two yearly plans because the names look similar.
UK Gold at £18.49 a month is £221.88 a year. The £49.99 Gold yearly SKU cuts that if checkout offers it. Silver monthly £10.99 becomes £131.88. The £39.99 Silver year, or the £22.99 yearly SKU if it is still offered, changes the maths again. Read the receipt line, not this paragraph, before you pay.
Website or PayPal paths exist, per third-party cancel guides. We did not capture a clean public web price list on 13 September 2026. Cancel in the same store that billed you. Daily Yoga cannot cancel an Apple or Google subscription for you.
Privacy, ads and the 18+ rating
Apple’s label allows tracking with identifiers. Health and fitness data can be linked. Advertising data and device ID appear under third-party advertising. The app may also use location when it is not open, the US listing said, which can drain a battery.
Google Play said the app may share device or other IDs with third parties. It may collect personal info and health and fitness data. Encryption in transit and deletion requests are declared. That is still a wider share statement than Down Dog’s Play box.
Apple rates the app 18+. Play rates it Everyone. We do not know why those age gates differ. If a teen will use the phone, check the live rating and what the community feed shows.
What reviews actually say
A 2024 US App Store review praised free courses and community challenges. A July 2026 Play review liked pause-and-rewind on each pose and said ads were mostly in-house. Those are user reports, not our test.
The same week, Play users still mentioned dual subscriptions. That matches the IAP list, which stacks Silver, Gold, “Full Access,” “Annual Premium Special” and branded $69.99 items. The product risk is billing clarity, not a missing sun salutation.
US Apple sentiment (4.7 / 4.5K) is warmer than Play (4.1 / 150K+). Do not average them. The samples and platforms differ.
What remains unverified
We did not test Smart Coach quality, mirror mode or Watch rings. We did not verify “60M+ people” or “50M yogis.” Those are manufacturer claims. We did not confirm a Play install band because the captured page did not show one.
Healthline “best yoga app” badges in the store copy were not re-checked as a 2026 ranking for this page. Awards in an App Store paragraph are marketing until you open the original list.
If you want generated classes with a simpler SKU list, use Down Dog. If you want a free filmed library on iOS, see Alo Moves. Strength work can sit in a no-equipment full-body home workout so you are not buying Gold only for push-up videos.
Evidence and who should skip Daily Yoga
NHS guidance lists yoga and tai chi as strengthening examples. It still wants 150 moderate minutes a week. Cochrane’s yoga review for chronic low back pain found small gains versus no exercise. Daily Yoga was not in that review.
Skip Daily Yoga if you want a clean invoice, if the tracking label is a problem, or if weight-loss store copy will set you an unsafe pace. The app can still be a useful pose dictionary. It is a weak medical device.
Pregnant users should not treat chair or prenatal clips as obstetric care. Stop if a pose hurts. A teacher in the room still wins for form.
Medical note. This article is general information, not personal medical advice. Pose videos cannot assess your form or your weight. Stop for sharp pain, dizziness or chest pain. Seek urgent care for emergency symptoms. Speak with a clinician before you start if you are pregnant, injured or living with a long-term condition.
